Who knew people were actually following the blog to see what we were up to. I didnt. I thought I was writing for my own entertainment purposes and if you know me you know I am quite capable of entertaining myself. LOL
I want to thank you for following us on our journey. We have been in NC since January 12th. We stopped in Orlando and Atlanta before coming. I have to put up the Orlando pictures. We partied at the BB King Blues club in Orlando. The band kept giving shout outs to Seattle, my cousin Jesse (he drove 4 hours from Tallahassee to see us, now that is love) passed out and we had to put him in a hotel and we met some really nice guys from the area. Disneyland is not just for kids.
People have expressed many different opinions about taking a trip across country. I say if you have the time and the funds to do it you should definitely do it one day. The trip was fun, entertaining, enlightening, educational and beautful. I learned more about our country and the contributions of Mexicans, Native Americans and other cultures than I ever learned in school. This trip allowed me to learn to love my country again. The beauty is unexplainable and pictures dont do it justice. The history is rich and powerful.

San Antonio
I was wondering why we had several border patrol stops in Arizona and Texas. It never occurred to me that people from Mexico would just drive in.
Remember the Alamo! If you get a chance to go to San Antonio you must check out the Alamo it was informative and also great sight seeing. You should know that if you want church service stand outside of the Alamo and someone will preach to you. Either the street preacher or the Latter Day Saints Missionary's will share the Word with you.
When traveling to San Antonio if you care to see the Riverwalk you may want to find the River's maintenance schedule. This is what the Riverwalk looks like when it has been drained. I was told that you may find some valuable items (lost friends who fell in while drunk, shoes or clothing that fell off when you fell in, the list is endless). Shelia, oh Shelia are you in the River and we just havent found you yet.
I know my cousin is cute, but really do you want to watch her get up on the bar and start dancing. You know she believes she can do better than Tyra in the movie.
Food and service was outstanding. Must have is the Shrimp Fondue(sp?)...that appetizer was amazing. Couldnt eat all of my food that day, so kept the steak on ice and warmed it up two days later. The steak was as juicy and tender warmed in the microwave as it was when it first came from the grill. When you go ask for Nicole to be your waitress she was too sweet.
I love anyplace that will allow me to stay in my car and order a mixed drink. You heard me...you can go here and get a Margarita or other mixed drinks as well as order beer, wine liquor and other necessary items for your drinking pleasure.

Shelia left us in San Antonio. This is us in Albuquerque when our now lost comrade was still among us.

We connected with the locals in Bunkie, LA. The catfish was good and the gentleman made us his own special project. We didnt want or have a need for anything. Our waitress she has a special affinity for Ankhs like myself; therfore we had an instant connection.
We finally made it. I never heard of I49S but that was the longest ride ever. We never thought we were going to make it to I10 again.

Road to Albuquerque
The picture of the lights coming into Albuquerque does not do it justice. It has to be the best scenic view riding into a city I have seen.

We have done so much eating of course I love that!!! Traveling to Sacramento for New Years, Phonix Arizona next and now being in new Mexico, I can say to the world that I rather vacation in New Mexico. Bel, Biv Divoe and Boyz to Men were here a few days ago, dang hate I missed the show. The Casinos are huge. Well here are a few photos from days past. Enjoy.

Jan. 1 2010 Shelia
WOW This is the first time to use 2010 sooooo Glad 2009 is over!!! Glad
We ended the year eating at the cheese cake factory it was soooo sosososo great! Now we are traveling through nothing but Cali Mountains and ranches God has given us a beautiful world to live in. I miss my family but I am thankful to see the west coast life.
